SAKAKIBARA, Yasumasa (1548-1606)A military general during the period of leadership of Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Founder of the Sakakibara family,and the lord of Takada domain in Echigo. Served under Tokugawa Ieyasu, and participated in the famous battle of Nagashino, among others. When Tokugawa Ieyasu entered the Kanto in 1590, Sakakibara Yasumasa received 100,000 koku in Tatebayashi, Kozuke province.
