​池田信輝(恒興)(1536-84)

 

IKEDA, Nobuteru (Tsuneoki)

A military general during the period of leadership of Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Son of Tsunetoshi and Nobunaga's wet nurse.

 

Being the son of Nobunaga's wetnurse naturally tied him with Nobunaga under whom he indeed serve. His landholdings totaled 130,000 koku, which was a considerable size for a single warrior to have. Nobuteru died in the battle of Nagakute on the fourth month of 1584.
